So what is a Songweaver?

A Songweaver is a mage subclass that specialises in healing and shielding, while providing damage amplification, movement speed, and mana regeneration to the team. The kit may seem complicated at first glance, but there’s nothing to worry about. I’ll break it down below, starting with the perks:

Song Magic (Perk 1)

  1. This perk allows Songweavers to gain Encore stacks from their skills. Each stack grants 15% mana regeneration, up to a maximum of 6 stacks.
  • At 4 Encore stacks, all abilities (except Aria Waves) are upgraded into their Encored versions.
  1. This perk enhances Songweavers’ healing and shielding power (HSP) to allies, but weakens the healing and shielding they receive themselves.

Scaling (As of 16 December 2025)

  • 1 INT stat point = +0.35% HSP
  • Self HSP reduction calculated via -50% + 0.4% per VIT

Reverb (Perk 2)

  1. ALL non-Songweaver abilities deal 35% less damage.
  2. 7.5% of the damage you lose gets stored as Reverb stacks for 20 seconds.
    • Maximum stacks: 200 + 500% INT + 300% VIT.
    • You can use these stacks to boost your healing up to 40%.
    • You can use these stacks to boost your shielding up to 30%.

Q: So is it important to stack Reverb before using Songweaver’s skills?
A: Absolutely. 40% healing and 30% shielding is huge, especially in harder game modes like Tal Rey, or events like Comms, HW, XMAS, etc. Try to gain reverb stacks as much as possible, it is one of the two main perks of Songweaver after all.

ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§

↓↓↓Now that we have covered the perks, let’s dive into the actual kit that makes up a Songweaver↓↓↓

ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§

Songweaver's Kit!

Tempo

  • Once used on an ally, increase Encore stack by 1. An Encore stack will not be given if Tempo is applied to yourself.
  • Once bestowed with Tempo, your allies ( or yourself) gain movement speed, mana regeneration and increased healing and shielding.

Encored Tempo

  • Grants yourself and up to 5 allies with Tempo at once.
    • If the target already has Tempo, restore certain amount of MP + 15% of their missing MP.
  • Scaling (As of 16 December 2025)
    • 1 INT = 0.15% HSP (ONLY applies when Tempo is active, rest HSP buff will be from Song Magic.)

Tempo is often overlooked as just a skill to boost walkspeed, but in reality it’s the backbone of what makes Songweavers’ heals and shields so powerful. Remember to use Tempo whenever available!

ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§

Mending Melody

  • This ability heals yourself and up to 2 allies, prioritising allies with the lowest HP.
  • Grants 1 Encore stack per allies healed (Self does not count).

Encored Mending Melody

  • The Encored state of Mending Melody heals yourself and up to 5 other allies, while spawning a healing zone that heals for 3 seconds.
    • The healing zone provides minor healing per tick compared to the initial heal.

Mending Melody is arguably the most important ability for Songweavers. It provides consistent party-wide survivability, allowing your team to stay in combat without constantly risking death.

ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§

Safeguard

  • This ability shields yourself and up to 2 nearest allies, gaining 1 Encore stack only after the shield receives damage.
  • The shield has a set duration and will disappear even if no damage was taken.

Encored Safeguard

  • The encored state of Safeguard shields yourself and up to 5 other allies in a radius, the received shielding increased from the non-Encored state.

This ability is crucial to the party’s survivability from lethal damage that Mending Melody alone could not compensate for. Safeguard is also useful when trying to avoid damage altogether.

ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§

Vibrato

  • Links you with the nearest ally (excluding yourself)
    • While linked, you fire musical notes at enemies that your ally damages
    • Gain 1 Encore stack after firing 8 notes
  • Synchronised (while linked):
    • Your linked ally deals increased damage (up to 35% at max upgrade)
    • Firing notes extends the link duration

Encored Vibrato

  • All nearby allies fire a burst of empowered notes at the enemy closest to you, dealing damage to a single enemy.

Vibrato is a damage amplification and synergy ability, rewarding good positioning and coordinated play. (Although it’s scuff at times) It shines when paired with high DPS allies, significantly boosting team damage while generating encore through sustained combat.

ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§

Soothing Song

  • Sends out 3 enemy-seeking musical notes that damage enemies and apply 1 stack of Drowsy.
    • Enemies that reach **2 **stacks of Drowsy are put Asleep.
  • Status
    • Drowsy - slows and grounds enemies.
    • Asleep stuns the target. Taking damage ends the effect early, causing a burst of damage and applying Grouchy.
    • Grouchy - causes the target to take increased damage from all sources.

Encored Soothing Song

  • Summons a musical note at a target location that deals area damage every second for 3 seconds. Each tick applies 1 stack of Drowsy.
    • Enemies with 2 stacks of Drowsy are put Asleep.

Arguably the most complicated ability in this kit in theory. However, this ability is similar to Bard’s Lullaby. This ability is most useful in scenarios with a lot of mobs or PVP events (Tribute War, Colo).

ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§

Aria Wave

  • This ability fires off notes in the shape of a circular sector that gets bigger the further it travels. The notes heals allies that come into contact with it and inflict damage to enemies upon contact.
    • Each ally healed or enemy hit grants 1 encore stack.
    • The notes can bounce off terrain, creating a small AOE around it, damaging and/or healing enemies/allies respectively.

While this ability may seem trivial as compared to the rest of the kit, Aria Wave plays an important role as an Encore generating ability, making it easier for Songweavers to cycle back to their Encored abilities faster.

A little tip for using Aria Wave:

It can be used to refresh the Encore stacks, in case you want to keep it for a duration.

Recommended Stats (PVE):

Beginners

  • 20 STR
  • 150 VIT
  • 20 DEX
  • Rest INT

Intermediate

  • 20 STR (Optional if you still have bad stamina management)
  • 90 VIT
  • 20 DEX

End Game

  • 20 STR (Optional if you still have bad stamina management)
  • 30 VIT (10% ABR)
  • 70 DEX
  • Rest INT (Minmax healing, less HP)

Q: Why 20 STR?
A: At 20 STR, a perk called ENDURANCE takes effect, giving you an additionally stamina. This is especially useful since mages suffer from mobility issues. Even more so with Songweavers, as some Encored abilities prevent you from moving while casting (Similar to Thundercall).

Q: Why not upgrade Soothing Song and Aria Wave?
A: Soothing Song is rarely used in most cases, with the exception of Mapoc, Tal Rey first room and PVP based game modes. Although Aria Wave is good for generating Encore, it functions well even without upgrades, allowing those skill points to be invested into other abilities like Mending Melody or Safeguard instead.

Recommended gears (PVE)

Disclaimer: For simplicity, all gears used for testing are fully ancient to their base stats, this is to give you the general idea of how the gears are at max reforge.
Examples: Holo Helm β†’ Ancient VIT /// Whimsical Hat β†’ Ancient INT

Headgears

  • Archaeomagus Hat (60 INT, 22 VIT)

    • Cheap to curse, easily obtainable. It has the highest stats across the headgears. Recommended for new SW.
  • Chainloom Hat (61 stats)

    • Decent stats, Tier 2 passive is useful if you’re trying to do damage while supporting your party members.
  • Sad Gingerbread Head (75 INT)

    • A limited item during Christmas but provides one of the highest stats in the game. Perfect if you happen to have some in your inventory to curse. Other than that, I do not recommend specifically grinding for them.
  • Glad Gingerbread Head (75 VIT)

    • Another limited item from the Christmas event, Only recommended if you have some in your inventory, that is GT and above.
  • Charged Jellyfish Cap (50 INT, 25 DEX)

    • A little difficult to curse and reforge but has very high INT stats, DEX for CD reduction (70 DEX) as well. A good option if you prefer lower CD for QOL/easier gameplay.
  • Supercharged Jellyfish Cap (50 INT, 26 VIT)

    • A little difficult to curse and reforge but very high stats for INT, and VIT for survivability.
  • Whimsical Hat (69 INT)

    • A great option if your gears lack ABR and/or just starting out SW.
  • Dragon Hat (12.5 VIT, 54 INT)

    • Not a great option overall but high stats point.
  • Royal Mage Hat (63 INT)

    • Cheap to curse, easily obtainable.
  • Forgotten Crown (62 INT, 15% warding)

    • Rather expensive to reforge/ curse, but the 15% warding is nice if you have low VIT/can’t dodge to save your life (literally).
  • Mythic Elf Hat (57 INT)

    • Very high ABR (30%) and decent stats, the only downsides is taking 15% more physical damage, lowering survivability. Recommended for builds with higher VIT.
  • Holo Helm (56 VIT, 5 HSP)

    • Cheap to curse, easily obtainable. The 5% base HSP is nice too. Recommended if you have trouble staying alive for Comm/ Tal Rey due to its Failsafe Protocol.
  • Decrepit Hat (56 INT, -18 VIT)

    • Lower stats (38 full ANC) but with a very rewarding ABR (36%) , a good option if you don’t have the Elf Hat. This hat has -VIT points so keep that in mind.
  • Pilgrim Hat (250 Max HP, 46 VIT)

    • A fine option for survivability, though I’d only recommend this hat if you have Tier 2 activated.
  • Snel Helmet (84 INT, -54 DEX, 10% HSP)

    • A vague choice but with the built in 10% HSP, this helmet could work if you solely wants stronger heals and disregard CD reduction.

Did not make the list:

  • Depth Scryer Hat: Expensive to reforge, low stats (44 INT, +10% ABR)
  • Sunken crown: Expensive to reforge, low stats (40 INT, +175 Max MP)
  • Elf Hat: Too expensive to curse since it can go kaboom, plus we already have an indestructible one.
  • Mushroom Hero Hat: Too expensive to reforge, subpar stats.

Armours

  • Archaeomagus Robes

    • As cheap as it gets. High stats, easily obtainable and curse. Highly recommended for new SW or SW on a budget.
  • Whimsical Robes

    • A rather niche robes as of now, but has high stats and good for Comm Events or any Events that has high player counts. Still recommended for new SW.
  • Christmas Sweater

    • This robes basically turn you into a walking campfire, healing comrades proportional to their max hp. The heals to less tanky classes are not noticible but is a nice passive heal for everyone around you.
  • Pilgrim Waistcoat

    • Another niche item but could come in handy once you hit Tier 3 with the 10% damage reduction from all sources. Only recommended for use if you have rolled extra HSP on it, otherwise stick to the pants of this set if you still want T1 effect for extra healing for yourself.
  • Mythic Elf Robes

    • Unlimited potential if your pocket is deep enough. 15% base ABR is nice with the downside of taking 15% more physical damage. Only recommended once you can consistently live on 30 VIT.
  • Mythic Mush Armor

    • Another mythic item, I wouldn’t really recommend this for anything but if this is your last resort.. do what you gotta.
  • Wicked Witch Robes

    • A fine option with decent stats and potential for you to deal more damage as it’s perk provides crit. A more beginner friendly version of Sol Minister Robes as it’s easier to keep stack on the crit buff. Once again should only be used if it has rolled HSP.
  • Royal Mage Robes

    • Relatively easy to obtain, decent to high stats. Not recommended at all unless it rolled high HSP.
  • Sol Minister Robes

    • A perfect robes for Songweavers who want to deal more damage without sacrificing too much of their support capabilities. Not recommended for new SW since it has a totally different rotation to stackkeep, and has to roll HSP to be usable for SW.

Did not make the list:

  • Elf Robes: Too expensive to curse since it can go kaboom, plus we already have an indestructible one.
  • Capra Robes: Hard to obtain and curse. Should only be used if it rolled HSP and you have nothing else.
  • Monk Garment: Although they are cheap to curse and widely available, Warding is not necessarily good on SW if it’s the only thing the item offers. Monk Garment lacks the core stats that SW value, making it a poor choice despite its Warding, as raw INT, VIT, and overall scaling contribute far more to survivability and effectiveness than Warding alone ever could.

ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§

Boots:

  • Gingerbread Leggings

    • Highest walkspeed boots a SW can use, highly recommended for those with mobility issues.
  • Dunestrider Boots

    • A more balanced version of the Gingerbread Leggings, with 3 walkspeed and 1.5 stamina, interchangeable with Gingerbread Leggings for those who missed it during Christmas.
  • Mushroom Boots/Mythic Mushroom Boots

    • The holy grail to those who loves jumping or are terrible at managing their stamina. The boots grant 30%/60% less stamina usage on jumps for normal and mythic mushroom boots respectively. Highly recommended for beginners.
  • Cowboy Boots

    • Perfect for those who can’t hit the stat points. 12 DEX is a lot for SW, highly recommended for new SW/ those who can’t hit 70 DEX.
  • Yeti/Explorer’s Yeti Fur Boots

    • This boots increase survivability, with +5/10 VIT and HP recovery respectively. I recommend this to anyone who struggles to stay alive or just want a little stat increase.
  • Pilgrim Pants

    • This item offers a nice 30% knockback reduction, which could help you retain control over your character a little easier. Only recommended if you have Tier 2 and above activated.

ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§ ──────── ΰ¨ΰ§

Tomes

  • Monarch Keeper’s Tome

    • Easily the best tome for Songweaver, with its Perk and high INT. Recommended over other tomes even at full ancient.
  • Cornucopia

    • With movement speed + CD reduction perk and the 10% HSP, it comes in handy after the recent Songweaver nerf. Recommended if you still dont have Monarch or prefer more movement speed.
  • Jade Tome

    • Cheap to cruse, easily obtainable. Recommended for new Songweavers trying to get ABR/ stats.
  • Fusion Tome

    • Lots of supply, base 5% ABR is nice. Recommended only if it has a really high ABR or Contriweaver.

Did not make the list:

  • Chainloom Tome: Perks from tomes such as Monarch Keeper’s Tome and Cornucopia is just too valuable to be exchanged for Tier 1/2. If you want Tier 1 perk, use Chainloom Hat.

Weapons

  • Jade Staff

    • After the recent nerf on Dragon Eye Staff, Jade Staff are now back in meta with it’s burst heal. Furthermore Jade Starves are very easy to get, as compared to Dragon Eye Staff.
  • Dragon Eye Staff

    • Following the recent nerf of the staff, the Dragon Eye Staff’s usage has been changed to more of a semi-burst heal, similar to the Jade staff. However, this weapon allows for more flexibility due to its perk, making it more popular among new SW.

Did not make the list:

  • Agave Staff: After the heavy nerf, the Agave staff barely does any healing and the MP recover anymore. Tempo clears this item.
  • **Mythic Ornamental Branch:**Jade staff is so easy to obtain. Use that instead.

    • If you want to do some damage as well, fusion is perhaps the best option for that. Just make sure you are shielded when using bomb, or you will turn into one yourself.
  • Cornucopia

    • Walkspeed and CD reduction are more useful than you think. However I only recommend Corn if you have 30+ HSP.

Did not make the list:

  • Chainloom tome: If damage is what you seek, use fusion, or even haunted tomestone. If you need T1 or T2, use the hat and armour piece instead, Mornarch perk is too precious to discard for a tier upgrade.

Tal Rey Walkthrough

This is a very short summary of what you would do to make your runs smoother and faster.

Room 1

  • For this room, I recommend doing - Tempo, Safeguard, and Aria Wave for a quick Encored skill rotation. You may Vib and heal your teammates as usual, and assist them by bringing mobs to the centre of the room. Once the room is cleared, use Encored tempo to give everyone, as it increased your heals and shields capabilities.

Room 2

  • There are 2 options here, either help your team with Toni, or go around pressing platforms. I recommend most Songweavers to assist with the MiniBoss and do platforms later, with the exception of Bnuyweavers.

Room 3

  • Generally, Songweavers are not that mobile so doing Red would be the best option. Once again, if you are a Bnuyweaver, do Green/Blue as those tend to take longer without added walkspeed.

Room 4

  • Avoid going in-between the two Aqrabuamalu warriors as they will kill you, fast, instead, provide heals, shield and vibrato whilst manoeuvring around the Aqras to do so.

Room 5 - Tal Rey’s Tomb

Phase 1 γ€Œ3.3Mil - 3M HP」

Tech for Phase 1 is - Tempo, Safeguard DPS and Aria Wave for quick encore stacks, to be able to use encored tempo at the end of the phase.

Phase 2 γ€Œ3Mil - 2.3M HP」

Lure the Giant into Lava, after the giant dies, Tal Rey will no longer be invincible, assist your team by healing and shielding them from Tal Rey’s barrages and debris.

Phase 3 γ€Œ2.3Mil - 1.3M HP」

Enter the blue crystals, generally, try to take the crystals at the door or top of the Tomb, to shorten your DPS distance from Tal Rey. For Bnuyweavers, take the last possible crystal. After supernova ends, Vib your DPS and stack up reverb and encore. Repeat this for as many cycles as it takes to get him to 1.3 mil hp, while ensuring your team is alive and well.

Phase 4 γ€Œ1.3M - 1.3M HP」

The DPS check - begin by giving out vibratos to all your DPS allies, providing them with the necessary tempo, heals and shield depending on their hp and even class (Say, a warlock typically has around 4k HP and typically would not need a shield, thus saving the ability for lower HP allies like assassins or sorcerers etc.)
Right before the last Crystal breaks, give out shield or encore shield to as many teammates as you can to avoid guaranteed obliterate damage.

Last Phase γ€Œ1.3M - 33 HP」

While using Mending Melody,Safeguard or Tempo, try to include as many of your teammates as possible, as Tal Rey tends to teleport away the most at this stage and the speed buff will definitely make things easier for dodging/ getting to Tal. Provide vibrato to your DPS teammates, heal when necessary and shield right before Tal Rey performs an attack. If all is done right, congratulations on your upcoming wins!

PS: There are a ton more tricks to making Tal Rey more convenient, and to being a better Songweaver in general, even if things may be more difficult at first, your effort will reward you. :face_savoring_food:

All the nerdy stuff aside, let us introduce you to different paths you can take as Songweavers!

Songweaver

Songweaver

  • This path follows players that want to try the subclass and what they would normally use for comfort and slower play. The play style often lack depths and gamesense but overall you will not die in most contents in this game.

Headgear

  • Whimsical Hat
  • Holo Helm
  • Arch Hat

Armor

  • Whimsical Robes
  • Archaeomagus Robes
  • Christmas Sweater

Boots

  • Mythic Mushroom Boots
  • Gingerbread Leggings
  • Dunestriders Boots

Tome

  • Monarch Keeper’s Tome

Weapon

  • Jade Staff
  • Dragon Eye Staff

This path allows you to basically stare at the top right corner of your screen and press heal/shield whenever your teammates’ hp drop, without acknowledging your own wellbeing at all since you can probably tank almost anything. While playing with this set up,

I recommend focusing on:

  • when to heal
  • who to vibrato
  • How to stack Encore
  • At which point do you really need to shield.

Focusing on your teammates first is vital because as a Songweaver, your primary goal is to keep your team alive and kicking.

Bnuyweaver

:sparkles: Bnuyweaver :sparkles:

  • The BEST Songweaver build due to the simple reason of it undeniably being the most fun! :face_savoring_food:
-# Whilst still managing to be extremely effective. (totally not biased)

Headgear

  • Bunny ears :crown::rabbit:

Armour

  • Christmas Sweater
  • Mythic Elf Robes
  • Archeomagus Robes

Boots

  • Dunestriders Boots
  • Gingerbread Leggings
  • Pilgrim Leggings

Tome

  • Monarch Keeper’s Tome
  • Cornucopia

Weapon

  • Jade Staff
  • Dragon Eye Staff

This path allows you to provide heals to teammates anywhere, using your unmatched agility, making it very practical for pve and dungeons like Tal Rey where being able to dodge attacks effortlessly is beyond fruitful. Do note that stats are very important on Bnuyweaver, as the Bunny ear itself has no native stats on it.

I recommend focusing on:

  • Feeding yourself bananas + seahorse + giving yourself tempo to maximise your speed + jump.
  • Making sure to never use encore vibrato as the animation is extremely long, holds you in place, and can possibly get you killed.
  • Enjoy the build, you wont find one as creative and fun anywhere else
