Early game changes

Great, dark, dark variant and special (mushroom, spider, ocean and others i forgot about) no longer consume upgrade attempts on fail (they can still fail, but do not take away a upgrade attempt)

Reasoning: early game players will often find a absurd amount of great and dark scrolls (and with slight exploration, special scrolls) but only a few to none holy scrolls to make up the (very likely) failed attempts on their gear, which often leads to incomplete and incompetent gear

Story mode quests should give 50%+ less xp than they currently do
Reasoning: Story mode quests give so much xp that side quests and exploration are essentially useless, as a player will feel like they’re progressing the game at the intended pace (which is currently way too fast)

Dungeons and side areas that are not shown during the storyline (perch, maw, other faction cities (or 2 faction cities if playing hunter), crabby den, dunes and grove) should have a mention or clue towards them during the storyline, as currently the only way to find them is by exploration that is not quite possible at the current storyline pace

Most if not all dungeons (excluding tal-rey) should have per-player scaling like rubee hive, as new players often struggle with finding teammates willing to play with them (callback to scrolling problem)

Reasoning: self explanatory

More bosses should be shown or required during the storyline and general play, as most bosses get skipped over or ignored fully

Droprates for lower level bosses and mobs are abyssmal for their tier, especially shiprock mobs and mama hermit specifically, no new player should be expected to farm 20+ minutes for a slightly better item, considering no other gear is available

My backing for all of these claims is my own personal experience, which can be found here:

(I need to add, there are other minor issues that i’ve listed in the added document, but currently the issues i laid out here are the ones i want to see addressed)

I think in general, Vesteria has a lot of depth with lore within each faction that the quests and diolouge doesn’t allude to which makes it slightly frustrating in how the game is presented and played. I still remain hopeful but I think there should be less of an emphais on new content and a greater focus on helping player retenion, especially before summer ends because once the school year starts ( for the northern hemisphere) there won’t be as many new players.
