Auto-start follow-up quests from the same NPC

Explanation: In this video you see a player (me) finished a quest with Admiral Hugo, once that player finishes the quest, the player then get’s side-tracked. This can happen to most players. Then when they finally lock back in, they don’t know where to go, because their quest says complete. This can cause possible confusion and loss of interest in the game.

My recommendation: What I recommend that after completing a quest, the next quest with the same NPC would get started automatically. This would increase interaction with the story, and crease confusion and lack of direction that the player experiences.

(Video doesn’t play for me  )

Dangit. Good thing I added a video explanation then.

Wouldn’t this essentially remove the dialogue the quest giver has at the start of the quest? For example, in the clip you posted, if it cut straight to “Meet Millicent” after completing the quest, that’s coming out of nowhere. I feel like this will come at the expense of the story itself.

I do agree that players probably will get sidetracked after completing a quest, but I think a better thing that could be done is have the quest objective still be on the side, but directing you to the next NPC to talk to for the questline.

what I mean by start the next quest automatically I mean automatically popup the starting dialog for the next quest. That way the player can still “communicate” with the NPC. keeping immersion but taking out the chance to get distracted..
