Shadow Walk

  • Fix shadow walk granting excess stamina recovery. Not sure if there’s some weird multiplication going on, but it seems to add about +90% currently. Set it to an additive +50% stamina recovery and add +10% stamina recovery per upgrade, also show it being a stat that upgrades on both paths.
  • Change Shroud path to reduce the cooldown by 1s instead of increasing the duration by 1s.
  • Speed Bonus: 20-50 (10) >> 0-75 (25)

Non-Assassin Ability Damage PvP Mod: 16% >> 20%
Duration: 2.5s >> 3s

Dagger Flourish
Remove 200 Dex requirement. Assassins now always have this, so remove it from showing up as a perk.

Reasoning

  • Buff up Assassin as it’s currently falling behind based on the last contribution data we had and general complaints from the community. The main focus is adding crit damage to the abilities, the same as Berserker has.
  • Reduce Etheral Strike to X/5 skill points to allow for skill investment flexibility. X/7 skills should generally be reserved for build-defining abilities, i.e., Shadow Flurry and Shadow Volley.
  • Rework Shadow Volley to be a filler burst move that can be used in Intent combos. It currently sees no use since Assassins are based on burst, not sustain. No one enjoys spamming an ability with a CD less than 1.5s.
  • Nerf Lethal Cuts enough that it’s not always required, and skill investment is flexible for other abilities. The DoT procs Assassin’s Intent, which isn’t favorable, so 0/5 investment doing nothing will be beneficial for certain playstyles/builds that choose not to invest in it.
  • Shadow Walk has no reason to be invested in for PvE; it is purely a PvP ability in its current state. Allowing the cooldown to be reduced with investment is a good way to do that, as it refreshes Assassin’s Intent.
  • Remove the Dagger Flourish requirement and make it the default animation for dual daggers. Players will unironically go up to 200 Dex just for this because they either think it looks cool or that it provides some buff to them.
  • Increase Assassin’s Intent duration by 0.5s to give a little more flexibility and for Shadow Volley to fit in existing combos.
  • Increase Tide Hunter PvP mod to balance out the Intent buff as well as a general nerf. Silent Approach nerf to tone down shunpo builds, and because an Intent duration increase indirectly buffs this perk.
