Vesteria Monster Brainstorm

I like how you decided to describe the appearance of the Devil/Satan as if the devs didn’t know what he looked like

Name
Poison Rat

Level
This monster can be found at level 15 and is level 14

Appearance
It looks like a rat from dark souls 3, a huge rat bigger than you, around 2x bigger. A huge tail that would be very long, covered in a gray fur and red eyes the tail would be pink as well. It has tiny stubby little arms that would have claws on the end. It has too big front teeth that are sort of like human teeth, like a person with buck teeth (optional).

Behavior and Mechanics
The Poison Rat is pretty quick, maybe a little faster than a crab and does a decent amount of damage. They poison you every 3 hits and the poison depletes at your health gradually for 20 hp. It does a little more than a crab does but has not much health
Hopefully you take my idea into consideration!

  • Devilish Fairy

  • This Creature will be level 17

  • They will be small slightly smaller then goblin and they will have jagged fairy wings with the main color of purple and red. They will have messed up hair and will have a wand, maybe put tiny horns on them.

  • They will fly around anywhere in enchanted forest (not to far from the ground so people can hit them) and they will shoot little bolts from their wand doing mild damage but there is a 10% chance to either poison you, slow you down, or weaken you. It will be very aggressive and will try to kill you at all costs, it will not bother other enemies but can maybe possess enemies she comes by to follow the fairy.

Much like a brown bear; very large with brown fur.

Name
Troll

Level
18

Appearance
Very large, perhaps 3-4 times taller than the player. Grey skin and a brown rag/cloth to go on its waist. The troll would be hunched over with a club resting on its shoulders and have an underbite with big, sharp teeth.

Behavior and Mechanics
The Troll would be found at the top of the mountain of Redwood, and would lumber towards you with the club resting on its shoulder. It would swing, and if contact is made, maybe launch the player back, or the troll could swing overhead and then this wouldn’t be necessary. (The Troll is a rather generic creature, so it would be easy to put it in other places as well).

Name: Guardian

Lvl: 21

Appearance: Big, holding columns because they lives in deserts and protect K I N G S
Behavior and Mechanics: They walk slowly, they are unfriendly because they saw their K I N G S died in the old war. ( they failed to protecc their kings, yeah…)

There might be 7-12 Guardians or more

Ok now i will describe them. They have red eyes, wearing a knight helmet but it’s broken, you can see 1 of their eyes, they have a broken armour too, they hold columns, they have black skins ( i’m not racist dun bully me please)

Story: Guardians of kings, they protect kings. But one day, a big war just started, the K I N G S died in front of their eyes, they are hurt, they run and hide, until now, a new world. Vesteria. They see a lot of small animal ( include us)But they think those animals are enemies, so they attacked them.

BONUS: they live in the Mushroom king zone to protecc the mushroom king

Im terrible at this : (

Name
Sentinels

Level
27

Appearance
They appear as a statue of a Vesterian, but approaching it makes them come to life with different weapons, such as Spears, Axes, Swords, etc. They’re made out of a white stone (Marble) and are slightly taller than the player.

Behaviors and Mechanics
I was thinking this would be in a dungeon with like a King or something as a boss in the dungeon, and the Sentinels would spring to life upon entering the boss room (they’re also found scattered across the dungeon) and begin to slow you down while you try to kill the boss. They’ll attack you without hesitation, but beginning to hurt their King/WhateverBoss will anger them, making them slightly stronger in all ways, such as speed and attack and defense. Their attack pattern is simple, just normal melee, but I was thinking they’d have a glowing attack that does extra damage that slices in a side cleave sorta way.

That’s my dumb idea k bye thanks reeeeee

Skeleton Pirates

20-25

Think of the skeleton pirates from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, maybe have a couple different templates (crewmen spawn less than captain, have the different roles of the ship be different levels)

Pirates spawn in gangs on top of ships, a new gang spawns whenever the entire gang on a ship is dead (1 gang per ship at all times) they will shoot you with muskets, slice with cutlasses, and try to grab you to throw you off the ship. Could drop swords that sell for good silver, flasks, and all the types of fish.

Idea #1

  • Name
    Mimic

  • Level
    22+

  • Appearance
This monster looks exactly like a chest, could be Bluesteel, Golden, or Wooden. (most likely just wooden.)

  • Behavior and Mechanics
So basically this monster looks and acts like a chest, simply sitting in a location that a chest would be in, but when a player either interacts with it or gets near it, it comes alive and attempts to chomp on the player. (If you want, it could insta-kill a player when they interact with it, and play a cool cutscene thingie. nyeh heh heh heh heh jumpscare) Also this would probably drop a decent amount of money and maybe a cool weapon if you kill it.

  • Sidenotes
I’m not 100% sure how exactly this would be implemented, unless maybe if it was a dungeon only enemy and chests spawn randomly in dungeons…

It also could take the form of other things besides chests, like chairs for example, or maybe even other enemies.

A normal spider you would find in the enchanted forest, but very small(real life spider size)

Same as a chicken, just wanders around doing nothing. Except this spider spawns in houses and can climb on surfaces, or create a spider web and lie in there.

  • Name
    Mushroom Knight
  • Level
    10-15
  • Appearance
Imagine a typical knight, but with mushroom spores and moss growing all over it, using a mushroom cap as a shield, and with a fairly normal looking longsword. Maybe there would be a way to show that it’s a hollow suit of armor, as if mushrooms took over it and is now given “life” and shambles around as the mushrooms would have trouble completely controlling it as if it were a normal person in a suit of armor
  • Behavior and Mechanics
Considering the description and it’s level, the Mushroom knight would be a secret enemy that hides in a long abandoned cottage near Mushtown. since It would mercilessly stomp newer players, a key would be required to enter the house it’s in, which could maybe be found in the farmlands. The knight would be absurdly aggressive, attacking frequently and not giving many chances to make mistakes. However, it would be very slow in it’s attacks, and occasionally will fall over giving the player(s)a chance to deal solid damage. upon hitting ~50% HP the knight will go into a second phase where it throws its sword down and starts using nearby furniture or just parts of the house itself… killing it would reward the player with the possible drops of his armor and helm, which would be multi-class. the sword would be at the end of the room, and can not be retrieved until the knight is defeated.

Imp

Imp

Level: 20-22

Appearance: A red goblin, but with horns.

Behavior and Mechanics
The Imp uses Fire magic, and can burn the player. Once the player gets the Imp to half hp, the Imp runs to the Cursed Imp, to be healed.

Drops: Drops Imp tails.

Cursed Imp

Level: 23

Appearance: An Imp who has been “blessed” by the Dark Lord. The Cursed Imp has a dark aura around it, a darker shade of red than the normal Imp, and has purple markings on its face, arms, and chest.

Behavior: The Cursed Imp can use dark magic, and healing skills. At <50% hp, the Cursed Imp will summon 2-3 Normal Imps, but with slightly increased stats. These Imps will be able to use Dark/Fire Magic, like the warlock.

Drops: This Imp will have a 5% chance of dropping its staff, the Cursed Staff. It will also drop Imp tails.

Imp Leader

Level: 30 (Raid Boss)

Appearance: A Giant Imp with scars, a warrior helm, and holding a sword.

Behavior: The Imp Leader can use magic like the Cursed Imp, and can use melee skills (Lunge Uppercut, etc.). After using a skill (Flamethrower, Lunge Uppercut, etc.) The Imp takes a breather for 5~10 seconds, allowing the players to attack. At <50% hp, the Imp Leader becomes enraged, summons 2 Cursed Imps, and 10 Imps (These summoned Imps will be lower level, so that the party won’t die fast). The Imp Leader has a unique skill called Tornado. He spins around at incredible speeds, sucking in players and mobs. If player is hit with Tornado, the said player will take heavy damage ( use transportation moves to avoid being sucked in). After using Tornado, the Imp Leader becomes tired, and this is when the players rush in, dealing damage (Note that the other mobs are sucked in too, so players don’t have to worry about the minions). After the players defeat the Imp Leader, there is a 5~7 second death animation. A door opens leading to the Treasure room, where all of the Imps’ gold and valuables are stored.

Drops: (Warriors only) Tornado, (Mages) Heal, but not as good as the Cleric skill. (Hunters) Imp Tooth Dagger.

  • Name
    Lost Warrior
  • Level
15, acting as another enemy of that level
  • Appearance
A warrior with cracked bronze armor but with bear fur over his helmet and maybe a chipped weapon, variations can have dual weapons, a two hander, or an axe in place of a sword
  • Behavior and Mechanics
The Lost Warriors will not attack players until attacked, but will attack other enemies along the warrior’s path. The two hander variants can do more damage at the cost of being slower, dualies are faster but do less damage, and axes could just be a reskin/beefier version of the normal. They’d also have access to the two abilities the class has, albeit it will do a fixed amount of damage and doesn’t do much more than the other attacks

  • Name
Chair Monster (Or something more creative)
  • Level
A monster that scales level based on the person sitting. Maybe + or - 3 lvls compared to the player. (The mob is actually spawned once the player sits)
  • Appearance
It takes the form of normal chairs in Vesteria. They won’t be in any special places. They will only be chairs that could actually get up an move. Arms come out of the side and eyes appear where the seat is. The only problem is that multiple models would have to made for different chairs.
  • Behavior and Mechanics
There is about a 1 in 1000, or 1 in 250, chance that when a player sits on a chair, it turns into a Chair Monster. It instantly takes away 1/3 of the players health. (Or if we really wanted to, the chair could instantly kill the player through suffocation with their chair hands, and the nearby players have to kill him). It’s only attack is a simple punch, but it packs quite a punch due to splinters.

Every time a quarter of its health brought down, it will jump super high and slam into the ground, causing 10 - 20 pink slimes to fall from the ceiling, which are only found during this boss. They have no face, bounce with an AI similar to the slime queen, and deal very low damage. • Name
Arena Champion Kriegs (use whatever name you see fit)
  • Level
Whatever the max level is, the champion should scale with the game
  • Appearance
He/she/helicopterself should look like a gothic knight, with gold trimming on the armor, though the armor would be battered and worn. He would use a gladius in one hand and a magic orb in the other. H would also shift between a reverse grip and standard grip with the gladius signifying him using a warrior stance or a hunter stance.
  • Behavior and Mechanics
The Champion would act as a random encounter within the arena, and would pose a serious threat to any players. during this time there could be a total of 10 players in the arena. The Champion would come with 2 arena lions, which would be the same level as him, but not nearly as difficult, only doing a bit of damage and having not even a 1/10 of his HP. His attacks would consist of everything the players are capable of, as well as a few tricks of his own. the main attack of his of note would be a lunging grab attack, where he uses his sword to pin the player, and uses the orb to do either fire, lightning, frost damage. the fire would do DOT, the lightning would invert your controls for a few seconds, and the frost would slow the player to a walk and drain them of any stamina, making them unable to sprint for a short time. upon his defeat he would drop a large amount of currency, EXP, and has three different random drops, all of which each have a respective class it belongs to. the orb for a mage, the gladius for a hunter, and the armor for a warrior. Now you may be asking “Why doesn’t the warrior just get a different version of the gladius, since the champion can alternate between the two?” and that’s because that will confuse players on if it’s what they want or not, having the armor drop (the helm is a chest reward after game ending him) would give “tanky” warriors a reason to go for him, and DPS warriors to go after a different boss that I might think of later.

*note when I say random encounter I mean it would be like the Giant _____ event but far less common, and a quest will pop up once he does called “A New Challenger!” where the NPC will go on about how the champion of the arena has offered you and nine others a challenge, thinking you can not defeat him, as he has been reigning supreme in the arena for almost a decade now, and no one has been able to beat him. accepting the quest gives you a key to fight him, and after completing it, you get a key to his armory, which is where his helm and a few scrolls are in a chest.
